3.5 - Writeback and save data

In this module, you learn the basics of writeback configuration, including setting up a destination, writing data back, and viewing writeback logs.

Plan supports writeback to Fabric SQL. To begin, open the Writeback ribbon.

Configure writeback destination

  1. Select Add destination.

  1. Select a connection from the dropdown.

  1. Select Select a Database.

  1. Select a destination database and then select Add.

  1. Select a schema.

  1. Enter a table name for the writeback table.

  1. Configure decimal precision for writeback columns.

  1. Configure the text length for string values.

  1. Select Add.

  1. A notification confirms that the destination was saved successfully.

  1. Further writeback features are available under the Writeback ribbon.

Writeback data

  1. Select Writeback under the Writeback ribbon to write data to the destination.

  1. Review writeback milestones in the upper-right corner of the canvas.

  1. Select Logs to review writeback logs.

  1. Select an item from the summary view to review details.

  1. Review data details, runtime information, and more log details.
