## 3. Columns

In this example, we have sub-categories in the column field. Let's say you want to hide Juices -> 2021 Actuals alone. This can be achieved using 'Show/hide columns'.

a) Select the column/columns and click on the 'Hide' icon.

b) You can also hide individual columns from the column gripper as shown below.

## 4. Measures

You can also hide/unhide measure or row hierarchies by unchecking/checking the check box under the Manage Columns option. By default, all the Rows and Measures are checked and visible.

<figure><img src="/files/uZqiRQVA01TaYZDZLep9" alt=""><figcaption><p>Manage Columns</p></figcaption></figure>

To hide a measure/row uncheck the corresponding checkbox. In the image below the Variant rows and the Revenue columns are hidden.

<figure><img src="/files/CpudL4rG4bzMl15soPA1" alt=""><figcaption><p>Hiding rows/columns using the manage column option</p></figcaption></figure>

You can unhide them by checking the corresponding boxes under the manage columns.

## 5. Measure headers and category headers

You can select the measure header and click on the hide icon if you do not want to display headers in your reports. Repeat the procedure to display a hidden measure/category header again.

<figure><img src="/files/RVKRWRqGrUemF1KENgrF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://github.com/lumelinc/PowerTableDocs/blob/main/.gitbook/assets/Untitled%20Project%20(7).gif" alt=""><figcaption><p>Hiding measure headers</p></figcaption></figure>

The image below shows the Quarter Name hidden, which can be unhidden by clicking on the Unhide icon.

<figure><img src="/files/p4GVo4f19865DBNZdv2w" alt=""><figcaption><p>Quarter-Name is hidden</p></figcaption></figure>

## 6. Displaying hidden/skipped rows

To enable hidden or skipped rows, navigate to the Show/hide dropdown > Rows section and click on the respective icon to display the row again in your report.

You can skip/hide rows from the action options in the row gripper, as shown in the image below.

<figure><img src="/files/8MirVlbwmAUjleWmc2YM" alt=""><figcaption><p>Skip/Hide rows using row gripper</p></figcaption></figure>

The hidden/skipped rows can be shown using the unhide option.

## 7. Displaying measures for specific time periods

<figure><img src="/files/sUrUqPcN2z8GU4wYE8Ff" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can use the **Show/hide Measures** interface to display the data for a particular period. You can create and save specific time ranges for measures and instantly access them like bookmarks.

You will need to enter a name to identify the measure time range, choose the measures to display, and select the time interval.

{% hint style="info" %}
Disable the **Show** toggle to hide measures for a specific time frame.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/sUrUqPcN2z8GU4wYE8Ff" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://github.com/lumelinc/PowerTableDocs/blob/main/.gitbook/assets/image%20(2379).png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Show/Hide measures for specific time range</p></figcaption></figure>

You can leverage the **date picker** to select the time range.

<figure><img src="/files/NzqCuLpHn4e4Q1cyYV46" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://github.com/lumelinc/PowerTableDocs/blob/main/.gitbook/assets/image%20(2380).png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Date picker</p></figcaption></figure>

You can also display measures for **relative time periods** like last n days/weeks/months/years.

<figure><img src="/files/UtQRqAsWAjkRNM5yOXPk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://github.com/lumelinc/PowerTableDocs/blob/main/.gitbook/assets/image%20(2381).png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Defining relative time frames</p></figcaption></figure>

Another option is to use Plan's built-in date and time intelligence functions to display measures over a specific range of time. Select the **Date Functions** option in the Show/Hide measures interface. In the example below, we are displaying the Units Sold measure based on the end of the week and end of the month in the report.

<figure><img src="/files/e2QnfdGHJyl1IIiLBAmc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://github.com/lumelinc/PowerTableDocs/blob/main/.gitbook/assets/image%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1)%20(1).png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Using date functions to show/hide measures</p></figcaption></figure>

After you create and save a measure time range, you can instantly switch between them and analyze your data.
