# Comments
Unlike [notes](/documentation/plan/planning-sheets/how-tos/7.-planning-budgeting-and-forecasting/8.-commenting-and-collaboration/notes.md), comments allow multiple users to converse over a common thread through replies and mentions. User details and timestamps are accessible, and instant notifications are sent on mentions and replies.
The image below shows a planning report with sales and profit data organized by **category** and **brand**, along with quarterly revenue, COGS, and gross profit metrics. Let’s see how to add **data-level comments** and collaborate with your peers directly from within the **Plan planning report**.
